I just wish we had a functioning press. But the kind of totemic significance that MSNBC enjoys among liberals just because they were the only network pushing back against Romney is troubling for the long term.

We need much better investigative reporting. Even the National Review could be useful if they were doing real reporting and not trying to be NewsMax Lite.

I agree. Call bullshit wherever it lies (no pun intended). I watch MSNBC and I have seen every one of the hosts there tear into Obama when he does something they don’t like. Shultz and Maddow, once they dig their heels in, will absolutely rip Obama for weeks on end.

Not once would Fox rip into a Republican.

We need a functioning press to inform the electorate. Period. Wherever the chips may lie. If a pol fucks up, we need to know. No matter if that pol is a Dem or Repub.
