re: #66 Bubblehead II

Looks like the Wife’s 91 Civic is going to be getting a new (salvage) engine. Just got off the phone with the Honda repair shop and the cylinders and pistons are shot. $3,000.00 or so in parts and labor to fix. Asked how much to change the engine out if I could find one. $1,100. The local salvage yard has a complete engine with 157k miles (almost half of what’s on the old one) on it for $460.00. If it checks out after they pull it next week, she will be back on the road again with out leaving a plume of smoke behind her.
