I lived in Wasilla for several years. I left right before she was thrust into the spotlight by McCain.
Drama and scandal was already part of the Palin reputation.
And yes, drunken parties, with fights, is just considered a good Saturday night!
It’s kind of like a much less poverty striken Alabama, but without the Moose droppings.

I’ll bet a lot of Alaskans could give the Russians a run for their money in the alcohol consumption dept.

There’s just something about those cold climes…
