Right. And you’re right about Xi not being like Kim. China is just a boogeyman. Thinking about this though, man even though I didn’t do my best, I am so glad that I took those courses on modern Chinese history when I was an undergrad. I understand China so much better now than I did before. I mean as I said I won’t write love sonnets for the regime but I really do feel so many Americans especially yeah Trump’s base don’t know China at all. It beyond infuriated me when Romney was using them as a boogeyman to simply score political points. One reason why I liked Huntsman was that he didn’t play that game. Would never vote for him for other reasons but I did at least appreciate that Huntsman didn’t play that game.
