Does Michael Corleone count? Because that would be my pick. Michael’s transformation from son who wants no part of his family crime empire to being worse than his father ever was is some of the most brilliant storytelling I’ve seen.

I don’t see why not. I figure the criteria are:
1. Has to be bad.
2. Doesn’t make you sympathize
3. But you stop and watch the movie because of the bad guy.
