f the free market really were self-correcting, these pseudo-bankster crooks would have been out of business a long time ago.
The market is self correcting
1) nobody mandates that you buy/ sell there, thus negating their “psuedo-bankster crook” policies on you
2) anyone is free to open a competitor with more customer friendly policies

I am leaving, after just 2 months, and I am not the only one. The rest is not so simple. Inventing a better widget does not automatically mean that you can displace Mega-Widget at the top of the market. Ebay’s subsidiary, PayPal, can use its market dominance to force competitors to use its services, guaranteeing that even successful competitors will contribute to their, Ebay’s, cash flow. There is almost no chance you could make a go of online sales without accepting PayPal. Ebay’s own market dominance also gives them a high media profile that makes them the first choice for new sellers. There are a number of competitors out there, and many of them appear to offer a more user friendly service, but there is no way to be sure without trying them one by one. We shall see.
