As I said when we first saw the video, WikiLeaks has an obvious agenda, and my only hesitation about the engagement was firing on the van as they picked up bodies. The van in the context of moving around the area and dropping people off makes it a completely valid target.

A half-track can be fired upon even if people are pulling wounded soliders into it, if it’s also dropping off live soldiers. Same for a minivan. And if you bring children with you, you are the asshole breaker of the rules of law, not the person firing on you.

My respect for WikiLeaks has taken a huge nosedive with this.

Mine too. It’s one thing to insist that the laws of war be obeyed, but to edit a video to try to fake a violation of such laws is another. I wonder if the crew of the Apache could make out a case against WikiLeaks for Libel on this.
