Hey jcm! I sorta did the same thing - completed 2 years at a four year institution and was then invited by said institution to not return.
So I worked for two years, saved enough dough to go back to another 4 year school, got credit for one of the years I spent at the first school and took 3 years to finish. But I saved a bundle on that one years tuition!

How much did it cost to replace the chem lab?
