re: #624 lawhawk

I’m not a fan of quinoa, but any veggies prepared in any Indian dish will do wonders for me; I’m a meat and potatoes guy, but Mrs. Lawhawk has done a great deal to make me eat healthier.

With the veggies in my garden, I was able to make a ratatouille style dish - layered up grilled eggplant and zucchini with cheese (I think it was Gruyre) and threw on some grape and cherry tomatoes. Melted the whole bunch together; easy and quite tasty.

Ever tried cracked buckwheat? Makes a nice pilaf and has a slight nutty flavor. I usually make it with onions and then serve it with sausage or another pork product. I’ve also used it as filler/meat substitute for soup or vegetarian chile.
