Yes. (basically, the argument of Steiner goes: “the Jews inflicted ‘the torments of conscience’ onto the world.” In other words, it was thanks to the Torah and bringing the world to an understanding of what it means to have a conscience, that the Jews were never be forgiven…or as Rosenbaum suggests, it’s an “ontological blame-the-Jews” argument…i’m whitewashing much of the other details/implications…).
