Let’s be fair, though. Red Skull is a pretty lame villain overall. Unless you want to do a heavy-handed Nazi story, of course. That worked for the first Captain America film since it took place during WW2. Outside of that, I don’t see him as all that compelling.

Loki, OTOH, was a gleeful kind of villain. He’s all about chaos and is always plotting and scheming, and he enjoys it. He’s way more fun.
