They have done better, in that there has been some transition to putting together policy that they would like to see and presenting it to politicians/having a dialog. As I recall, folks met with both Bernie and Hillary on those issues and I believe Hillary at least did update some policy points as a result.

That’s the result of a few folks’ work, though, and not the overall movement. (Deray is the name that comes immediately to mind, altho though I know there are others involved.)

Actually, I think both campaigns did updates thanks to BLM pressure; it’s just that Sanders’ behavior and subsequent cluelessness (“I’ll do more for racial equity than Obama”) made it appear to be the usual lip service.

And I think BLM has sparked some local changes, electing some candidates and defeating others, so it’s not as visible or as sexy as protests in the streets.
