What we need to come to as a society is a reckoning on a very basic premise - are we going to share the wealth of our society with everyone in the society?

This doesn’t have to end in total income equality and property redistribution - the scare-scenario of COMMUNISM!! .

Rather, we can agree that the advancements of our society in the area of health-care can be made available to all on a scaled-pay basis.

That even that is scary to a big part of our country is puzzling, as we’ve already half-bought that idea with social security and the current budgeting of taxes to health care. Gov’t budgets already pay a non-trivial portion of all health care served in this country.
