Do the math on the salaries. Redistribute “x” (x being what we would call excessive salary from a few hundred execs) among the tens of thousands of employees. See how much money that is-as a part of GDP.

Questions, semi rhetorical-How do we do that $ redistribution with high dollar actors and athletes? Salary caps? Two million? Four million? Who gets the excess pay instead? Or is this wall street only? Madison avenue too? I have a nagging hunch you redistribute less than a hundred billion. A drop in the bucket. But I’d love to see real numbers, I admit I’m playing a hunch.

If you hit unearned income with taxes, that will cut the deficit, but nothing more than that. Not for years.
