Fun facts: The company that exports the most American-built cars (by value) isn’t Ford and it’s not General Motors. It is BMW. (see here: bmwusfactory.com) The world’s largest BMW manufacturing is in South Carolina.

Mercedes (Daimler) is also in the top five exporters of American-built cars; indeed, the world’s second largest Mercedes factory is in Alabama, and the majority of MBZ’s purchased in the US are built in the US by American workers.

As always, the problem is that Trump is fucking ignorant of the facts. He’s shooting off his mouth, attacking German car companies and saying they should “build their cars here”, entirely clueless to the simple fact that they already are among the largest manufacturers in the U.S.
