Picked up a pound of fresh Chicken hearts in the reduced meats bin. this afternoon. $1.65. I foresee a deep fried food comma in the very near future. That’s it. That’s the post.

Ah….one of my departed mother’s favorite meals. Ritual at my aunt Bernie’s whenever they butchered chickens. My mother really like lots of stuff that made me adolescent head spin but she won me over on chicken hearts (and chicken feet too). Never convinced me on gizzards, pig’s knuckles, chicken necks, head cheese and a number of other delicacies she loved though.
