Sorry. I should have specified: He doesn’t make a deal here. He makes “deals” all the time, as you say, but he’s not going to make a plea deal with the courts. He doesn’t just think he’s untouchable; he thinks he legitimately did nothing wrong.

Didn’t he make deals over both the Trump University and Trump charity cases? If the deal involves only money and not prison time, might he not make an agreement here and then tell his followers that he had to because he couldn’t get a fair trial in Georgia. Of course, it’s not clear that Fani Willis would consent to such a bargain.
