Our Detroit variant, the Brown Cow, was chocolate milk mixed with Vernor’s gingerale. Years ago, Vernor’s was hyper-carbonated and fizzed like crazy, a feature it’s lost in modern incarnations.
It sounds offputting when described, but it’s very good.
I love the strong ginger taste of Reed’s. Vernor’s is about equal with Canada Dry, et al.
