He’s not a scientist, Bagua.
You asked if I was serious in saying he’s not a respected scientist. I am serious, since he’s not even a scientist. I don’t consider ‘political science’ to be a science, and certainly not in the same way climate science is.
Here are some of his awards:
Eduard Brueckner Prize (2006), NRC Board on Ocean Sciences Roger Revelle Commemorative Lecturer (2006), Sigma Xi Distinguished Lectureship Award (2000)
Prior to his positions at CU-Boulder, from 1993 to 2001 he was a staff scientist [2] in the Environmental and Societal Impacts Group of the National Center for Atmospheric Research
You better call up University of Colorado and tell them your suspicions.
