Justification being the operative word there. I’m not seeing, for example, the
seige of Vicksburgfirebombing of Dresden or theburning of Atlantanuking of Nagasaki as having much to do per se with ending anything other than the will of the people who thought their states to be sovereign, to resist the federal government. As in, we in you lose. Sounds kind of Obamorific huh?
In other words: war is hell, and if you start one (especially over a principle like white supremacy) then you have to prepare yourself for the consequences of losing it.
