I don’t see why anyone would want to hire a photographer who did not want to shoot their wedding. You need a good rapport between the subjects and the photographer for really great shots. And there are lots of good photographers to choose from.

Somehow I see this a falling into a different category from getting service in a restaurant. Being able to be treated equally when you enter someone’s establishment is different from being able to insist that someone attend your event and participate in it. And yeah, how would a gay photographer feel about being required to shoot a Westboro Baptist wedding?

While I think it is a shame that there are people who dislike gays so much, I don’t think it helps the cause of gay marriage for Christians to be able to point to an example of it negatively impinging on their lives.
