There are several real-life examples of people who were deniers once upon a time but then fully recovered. The most famous example is Jean-Claude Pressac, who for a time was Faurisson’s disciple, but then, when he worked a bit in the Auschwitz archives, he not only left the denial, but wrote several large technical volumes about Auschwitz gas chambers and crematoria that are among the standard Holocaust history works nowadays (though they’re somewhat outdated by now since research doesn’t stand in one place).
