I was frequently referred to in school as a “white ni-CLANG” because of my Polish ethnicity.

Had Trump been reëlected, with his requirements that your grandparents had to be “legal” immigrants, I would have lost my citizenship.

If the GOP ever gains power again in its current form, I expect the same.

that is so weird. You have a closer connection to white American citizenship than I do (because I’m half black-Irish and half Slovakian/Rom) and I have never had worries about being called a white ni-CLANG.
I grew up in immigrant communities, so it’s just so weird when you say stuff like that.
Especially since one of my grade schools was St. Florian’s in Buffalo NY where we were taught by Felician Polish nuns. And St Florian’s was a major presence in the community.

Purity people are so fucking weird
