The only argument I have with Stonekettle’s thread is that Hollywood has made movies about soldiers who worked support jobs…it’s just they’re usually either comedy films or one-offs like Hacksaw Ridge about non-coms who won medals for doing brave/crazy shit during combat. Hence why asswipes like the candidate from Ohio feel they have to lie about their service, because the only movies made about guys who load cargo are comedies showing them as lazy asswipes looking to game the system.
