I read something about that earlier, the gist being that the small portion of portion the denialists are focusing on affects the whole by some incredibly infinitesimal amt, meaning that it’s statistically insignificant. I’ll see if I can find the article, it was at one of the science blogs.

More importantly, there is no real complaint to be made since they are comparing datasets in a way that is completely unkosher, lying about what the data sets actually say and are too stupid to see that.
