Although Arizona is young and not super duper religious. They’re too busy hating brown people to really care about gays. At least one of the major cities in Phoenix has had an openly gay mayor.

I also wonder about Utah, because a) it seems to be attracting a lot of non-Mormon educated techie types, and b) you know the LDS church can turn on a dime if they sense a change in the political winds, as they did with institutional racism in 1978 (not that I’m saying they will).
