Not really. The ranks of people nationwide who don’t read newspapers anymore is swelling on a daily basis, thus the talk of a government bailout for the government’s biggest supporter.

Not reading newspapers, particularly when there are so many other sources of information (many of which are better) is not in any way analogous to being a racist. It’s not reprehensible, does not carry a stigma in decent society, and is not a status carried by the majority of the populace.
