Woman Arrested for Hitting Sen. Levin With Apple Pie

Authorities say a woman hit U.S. Sen. Carl Levin in the face with an apple pie during the Armed Services Committee chairman’s meeting with constituents in northern Michigan.

Levin’s office says that near the end of the meeting Monday in Big Rapids, the Michigan Democrat took a question from a man who identified himself as a student.
