Well come now, the Republicans ran on a platform of “small government,” and now they’re giving the voters what they wanted. Folks just didn’t understand that a “small government” doesn’t cut SS checks, reimburse Medicare/Medicaid patients, maintain a huge military across the globe while fighting three wars, and so forth.

Somehow, I don’t think “small government” will be as popular next November.
