I do have to say it was probably good that the quake didn’t strike later - say at during rush hour. It would have likely caused a panic in some areas, and caused major headaches for commuters as transit authorities closed bridges, tunnels, and airports as a precaution to check for damage.

It looks like most everything has reopened in the NYC metro area after precautionary closures.
