Here’s an interesting program for Windows that enables much better font-smoothing:

I installed it in Windows 7 and it makes a big difference. No jagged pixels in the title font with it - nice and pretty. Not sure how it works with Win XP, but the doc says it does.

I get that pixelated response as well from the new text, running win 7.
