it runs deeper, unfortunately. the cultures are significantly different. but that’s no excuse…it is a shame, plain and simple.

The Walloons had the upper hand in Belgium for a long time and mostly ran it their way. But now the key industries of Wallonia (coal and steel) are mostly gone, and that has left the Walloons dependent on subsidies from the Flemings.
