Don’t really agree with that. Yes, there are a few folks who are trying to relive the 60s anti-war protests (or even the early aughts anti-Iraq war protests), but there is a gut wrenching agenda. It’s the growing disparity between rich and poor and that business and government’s compact with the public is broken.

There might not be an easy slogan to wrap around, but the “we are the 99%” comes close.

There’s also quite a bit of substance here. Businesses on Wall Street have taken advantage of cozy relationships with government and lax oversight of existing regulations to the detriment of the public.

Does that translate to lasting power of the protest movement? I don’t know.
