An unvaccinated population, and with (I’d wager) virtually zero previous exposure and thus no naturally-occurring antibodies whatsoever, already hit by almost perpetual malnutrition and now a highly infectious viral disease is (almost certainly) running rampant.

Yikes. And given the uniquely cruel nature of that regime, I’d bet they’ll go full World War Z if a nationwide lockdown doesn’t get it under control- and by that, I mean they’ll just shoot everyone that tests positive for it.
