You already paid taxes on that once. You shouldn’t be double taxed on your Social Security benefits.

Just remember it was ol’ President Pruneface who started taxing Social Security benefits…

Some people should be taxed on their ss benefits
especially if they have lots of other income
Taxing ss benefits is a back door way to means testing
The Threshold limits should be appropriate (ie higher than they are)
