I’m not sure I can agree with that. FDR defeated Germany, Italy and Japan and guided the country back from the Great Depression. Reagan defeated Grenada.

Different times, Olsonist. Reagan had a much better chance to avoid a major war, so he ended up not needing to fight one. FDR had no real way to avoid World War II, since he could not involve the US in the European crises leading up to WWII (in no small part due to US public opinion, which was against involvement in Europe at the time).
