About 2-3 weeks ago, when I found out about the fact that Saudi Arabia destroys Qurans that they deem “Un-Islamic,” something popped, for lack of a better term. I’m someone who loves history and art, so that pisses me off more than one can believe. And it’s not like the Quran Destruction here, which either done out of small-scale hate and ignorance, or bungled policies and rules. It’s done out of malice, and that is what ticks me off. The Saudi’s continual destruction of history and art offends me, but that little information 2-3 weeks ago was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

LAst I heard a few years ago they were destroying a lot of historical sites in Mecca for expansion. A terrible loss of some very important archaeological sites even more infuriating that it’s their own history being destroyed. Oh, well.
