re: #716 Walter L. Newton

I don’t find the SOTU speech irritating at all. Since I don’t have a direct phone line to the President, since I can’t call him up and ask him what he is up to, I rely on opportunities like this to hopefully get some insight from our leadership as to the future of this country as they see it.

So I listen and I pay attention.

I asked for some insight from the left on this forum as to what they thought of the SOTU speech. Our first black President giving his first SOTU speech, and the only answers I get (from the people on the left that even bothered to answer) is some vague comments about applause and laundry lists, kitchen sinks and foot tapping?

That’s it. You got nothing more out of it than that? You can’t come back and tell me if this pronouncement or that pronouncement was truthful, or doable or realistic or something? This was an historic speech and no one on the left can dissect, pro or con opinion wise, dissect any part of the speech and give me some detailed observations?

Tragic… the left can’t even say anything nice, clever or substantive about Obama SOTU speech.

I support the President.
