I’m not “the left”.

I’m pragmatic about how our country is being governed, and how the various groups within it (political, corporate, individual) interact in forming its environment. In my opinion, the political side is mainly hot air for the masses, seeing what the lobbyists are willing to pay for votes, and essentially government acting like it has generally acted in the history of this country; e.g. for short term interests, maintaining political power (individual or for the party), and after that point enacting legislation intended to address the issues.

I don’t hold President Obama to a higher level of expectation. He is not operating in a vacuum either. And at my cynical age I’m just not stirred by lofty visions and rhetoric. I want to see what rubber actually hits the road, and where the money is actually going, and actually coming from.
