Ha. I was just re-reading that part of LOTR yesterday. Funny how tastes change - I used to think it was a bit random but now I really like it.

But, I don’t see fairies standing on oven hot plates.

I missed one of my favorite episodes from the novels, Tom B. rescuing the hobbits from the barrow-wight, not being in the first movie, but that would have meant including Tom, so I don’t mind it not being in the movie. ;-)
