Trump’s feeble mind cannot distinguish among political, economic and diplomatic agreements. He considers every agreement a “deal” with a winner and a loser. This kind of simplistic thinking will lead us into some really deep, deep trouble. As I said above, Xi Jinping is a very intelligent and canny man. Putin likewise is intelligent and even more ruthless than Xi. If Trump seriously thinks he can out-negotiate either of these guys, he’s got another thing coming.

If Trump were really as good a businessman and “dealmaker” as he says is, I would be more confident . In fact, Trump is a shitty businessman and nearly every deal he’s made, *he* has ended up the loser.

I’m trying to stay optimistic, but we may well witness the demise of the USA as a major player on the world stage within the next decade.

Considering how badly he and the state of Indiana got rolled on the Carrier deal, I don’t imagine that his foreign policy can go any better and is likely to go far worse. How many “deals” is Putin going to sign with him where he struts around acting as if he won big when the final terms show that the US got screwed bigly? And as a debtor, you’d think he’d understand the last thing you want to do is play chicken with the banks, as he’s doing with China right now. They have numerous ways to fuck with our economy that he cannot reciprocate easily. And if he thinks that shaking our nukes at them is going to impress them, then he’s sadly mistaken.
