I made arrangements with the Neptune Society 35 years ago that when I pass away I’ll be cremated and my ashes will be scattered in the ocean. The prepaid service package’s total price was $385.

Acchh! Ten grand for the box? Reminds me of the lady in Texas who insisted on being buried in her Ferrari. They allowed it, with a humongous crate for the car.
My personal preference would be cremation with the ashes scattered from an aircraft over Pikes Peak. I’ve walked from Manitou Springs to the summit several times, the first when I was 10 years old, and I always loved the place.
My daughter is determined to keep her parents together for the next few thousand years at least though. Since she has to live with the decision and I obviously don’t, I will leave it up to her.
