I mean, I know the reason. The media have to be very careful not to take sides, lest they lose their precious access if the Republicans win and take power. It’s just so depressing to think that the reason we’re going to lose our democracy is because of a bunch of cowards who care more about their jobs and money than about doing the right thing. But, I suppose not everyone can be a starry-eyed idealist, like me.

That’s inaccurate. They absolutely take sides. Against Dems. Near daily. Gaining access to republicans isn’t about not taking the Dems side but going against anything Dems say, do or believe in. It’s beyond tipping the scale, it’s standing full on one side of it.
