There are a lot of people, including Democrats, who are unhappy about immigration at the borders and are susceptible to the GOP propaganda on how it makes us unsafe.

I wish Biden, Obama, and other prominent Democrats would spend some time talking to current and former congress members Beto O’Rourke, Joaquin Castro, and Veronica Escobar, as well as Obama’s HUD Secretary, Julian Castro, about immigration. Ms. Escobar was an Immigration judge, before being in Congress. The positions Biden is taking are reactions to fear, not reality. A rapid, legal, stable, widely supported means of immigration needs to be in place to deal with the hordes who will arrive for decades, as income inequality and climate change accelerate.
