I really don’t see why the comment is racist. Barack Obama was born in America, had some foreign living experience and ran as an American. Michelle Obama certainly gave the opening by referring to Kenya as his “homeland.”

None of this pretty but its the way politics is done. I rather think it would be racist to avoid taking her up on it, just because the foreign “homeland” is in Africa and Obama is bi-racial.

I see. Why don’t they just tell him to go back to Kansas, where his mother was born? Wouldn’t have quite the same effect, now would it?
