You live in Lubbock, and you talk about “redneckophobia”? Huh, You must be a real hit with your “local” friends. Do you hang around with any “rednecks” and keep a smile on your face?

I talked about being accused of it, Walter. As my notably redneckish accent shows, it is possible to be from that cultural background and still have a reasonable proficiency in English. My friends generally approve what I say along this line.
