I’ve often thought that we won’t have a strong woman candidate until more women rise thru the ranks of the military. A female medal-of-honor winner, or decorated fighter pilot that has also been elected to a high office.

During the election I heard more men (of all colors) say that “we aren’t ready for a woman POTUS”. I think there is a “toughness” that some men look for and combat-type military service would help.

Yeah, but then the misogynistic meme would be that she’s TOO tough, TOO aggressive, a bitch and (probably) a lesbian. That’s how misogyny works, women get busted no matter what they do.
