Sarah Palin's Word Salad of the Day

What astonishes me is her complete inability to talk about policy beyond buzzwords. I mean, most people can handle at least SOME sort of real policy discussion, especially if they’re going to be bitching about a policy they should at least be able to articulate the issues with it and how to address them. But not Palin. Once she gets past the canned responses (answers to the first 2 questions from Lauer) her response is what you’d expect if you asked the below-average guy on the street. Not only incoherent, but deeply lacking any kind of understanding of the issues.

On top of that, she feels the need to pack as many buzzwords as possible into every run-on sentence, like there’s a checklist she’s filling out.

When I prepare for a meeting, I generally at least go over in my head how I’ll respond to certain likely questions, at least map out responses in my head, but every interview I’ve ever seen with her rapidly descends into blathering that sounds like she’s never heard of the topic.

It’s like she’s the person in the dream where you have to take a final in a class you didn’t remember signing up for and you can’t drop it and it’s in a subject you have no knowledge of and can’t fake it and if you don’t ace it you won’t graduate and you’ll never get a job…
