re: #66 LudwigVanQuixote

Here is a big nasty for you…

Whining banshee.

Princess M, was once a spoiled girl from minor nobility. She fell in love with al the knights at tourneys and was skillful in leading them on. She made up for her low birth with great haughtiness and withering disdain that she would shower on the lesser nobles with whom she flirted.

One day, she fell for a knight who was skilled in tournaments but never amounted to much after. He was even more arrogant and popular than she. She swooned. A few years later, her beauty fading, he left her for a younger and far prettier elf maid.

She took to eating mushrooms which had been growing in the foetid remains of poisoned tree husks that dot the bubbling Fox river. Her rage, anguish and internal spite mixed with the alchemy of those fungi and created a dark magic transforming her bloated body and distended features into a horror of malice and flesh.

She craves, nothing more than to be told of her beauty even as noxious fumes are released by her breath past yellowed twisted teeth. Perversely the magic that sustains her causes her reeking soul to attract the adoration of goblins, orcs and lesser demi-humans. She once again has devoted followers that she can treat with arrogance and spite, who will slavishly flirt with her even in her deformed and corrupted state Once again, she feels happy for brief moments, but she realizes that the love of orcs is nothing like the love of men.

She is an ambush predator.

Princess M

Attacks with withering tongue of contempt: Heroes must beat a difficulty of 2 in an opposed role against their self esteem (the sum of their charisma, intelligence and wisdom scores) or feel that a woman they might date (and forget) if sufficiently drunk, has snubbed them. This causes a -1 penalty on all wisdom checks for 1D6 rounds.

Clerics, Paladins and Druids can defeat this effect by pointing out that at least 3D4 pints of mead would be needed to consider dating her.

Her most virulent attack is actually summoning 2D20 slavering orcs, kobolds and goblins to sacrifice themselves for her.

Other than that she is no threat.

Special weaknesses - mirrors, tape measures and any female with a CHR greater than 10. All of these things throw her into an incoherent rage that drastically reduces the effect of her insults. Any successful withering tongue attack has it’s duration halved.

Nice. Since I made her “The Harpy” for the current adventure, we can’t use this character just yet. But I’m favoriting your post and it’ll be used in the future.
