Something such as boot camp exploits this scenario totally. It is the closest form of cohabitation anyone can imagine.

Now I would expect it to be only natural for a gay man showering together with a group of naked men, not to be at the very least mindful of his surroundings. If someone wants to tell me that there is no way this would not be on the minds of all parties because of some sort of perceived professionalism over and above human nature is fooling themselves.

Seriously, that would be similar to me making the comparison that I could shower with a bunch of naked females, and I could overlook the fact that I was in a shower with a bunch of naked females.

It is not as clear cut a situation as some people want to believe.
